Students learn how to recognize adult and pediatric life-threatening emergencies, how to provide basic life support (BLS) and what to do in case of an airway obstruction or choking. Basic Life Support (BLS) has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).
Continuing Education Hours (CEH) for EMS professionals are available for ASHI ALCS from Health & Safety Institute (HSI), a Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS) Accredited Organization.
