Expired Instructor Development Course

The Instructor Development Course is designed to provide new Instructors with a strong foundation in teaching knowledge and skill. The fundamental objective is to help participants develop sufficient confidence and competence to teach, evaluate, and certify participants in ASHI Training Programs.

Who should take this course?
This course is designed for people with little or no previous teaching experience who desire or require sufficient competency to teach, evaluate, and certify participants in ASHI Training Programs and/or Instructors whose teaching certification has lapsed.

Prerequisites:
Current, Valid student-level certification in the training programs the Instructor candidate wishes to teach and/or competent demonstration of student-level skills assessed by an instructor trainer.

Roles and Responsibilities Administrative Issues Legal/Ethical issues
Learning Environment Learning Styles Goals, Objectives, and using Lesson Plans
Presentation skills Communication and Feedback Evaluation Techniques
Facilitation Techniques Teaching Psychomotor Skills Discipline
Cultural Awareness Overview of ASHI Programs Training Equipment

Course Sample:

This course includes an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session. Complete the online portion on your internet enabled device before attending the in-class hands-on skills session.

In order to be an Independent Contractor for Young Hearts Education you will need to obtain a DBA- Doing Business As License through the state of Idaho and carry your own liability insurance.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a digital certificate valid for two years,
